BIG Question: If Russia hadnt moved in would Czechoslovakia still be a country toaday?
Summary: The Czechs had a democratic tradition and in 1968 Alexander Debcek become the leader. He gained freedom of press and assembly of worship and right to strike which was very socialist of him. The move almost spread to romainia and they were threatened. The troops from satelite states had to move in. Dubcek was then arrested.
