- Hungarian leader Imre Nagy announced he was pulling out of the Warsaw Pact

BIG Question: How would Hungary of been different, if they did not back out of the Warsaw pact?
Summary: The people of Hungary stood up against Soviets, soon later they were oppressed once again and were under control again. They were the first to back out of Soviet influence and many people died and fled west to Austria.
