Quote: We could hardly dream of building a kind of Great Wall of France, which would in any case be far too costly. Instead we have foreseen powerful but flexible means of organizing defense, based on the dual principle of taking full advantage of the terrain and establishing a continuous line of fire everywhere.—10 December 1929 (wikipedia, 2014)

BIG QUESTION: What improvements and adjustments could have been to make the Maginot line a success?
Summary: This was essentially a huge wall that's purpose was to be impenetrable and it was however it only went so far, its downfall was the fact that it was not complete therefore people could 'walk' around it. It was a good idea and made well just needed more land coverage.
