The February/March revolution in Russia occurred because the people were unhappy with the Tsar, he was clueless to what was occurring in his own country and the hardships his people were undergoing. They were going days without food and would fight for bread. Eventually after having enough of being mistreated the people of Russia had a uprising that led to a revolution were the Tsar was forced to abdicate himself, he was then replaced by Prince Lvov and then later after him Alexander Kerensky. The October/November revolution occurred later on and was more successful than the first as the people were fighting for themselves. 20,000 armed sailors took Petrograd and demanded that the Soviets took control. The difference between the two was during the first february march revolution the leaders wanted to remain in the first world war and this did not solve their food issue and many peoples struggle. The second was more successful as the people felt like they had control and were promised peace, land, and bread.
